A very pretty stone house typical of the region in just over an acre of fenced land. The house nestles among six houses and two dairy farms. It is a small community of very friendly people. The house has lovely unimpaired south facing views over the extensive Foret de L’Hermitage Lorge.

The local inhabitants are extremely friendly. The younger generation work the farms while the rest are mainly active retired people. There is a fruit farm just up the lane which provides apples, strawberries, raspberries and kiwis as the seasons dictate. It is good walking country with plenty of quiet lanes.

The nearest village is about 2 kms away and has a primary school, football ground, boulodrome, bar, shop (fresh bread delivered daily), mayors office with village hall and historic church.

Further away about 7 kilometres is Quintin - La Petite Ville de Caractere - an enchanting small historic town with a Chateau and lake. All the usual amenities, banks, pharmacies, dentists, opticians, doctors, post office, swimming pool, two large supermarkets, two veterinary practices, restaurants, bars, hotel and acclaimed secondary school. Quintin is a popular tourist attraction with many fetes held throughout the year.

The surrounding countryside has many attractions, one of which is the Lac de Bosmeleac about 10kms away. There is a bar/restaurant open in the summer with pedalos and swimming, a camp site and lovely walks around the lake which takes about an hour. Further on is the much bigger Lac de Geuerledan about 25kms from the house. This lake provides all manner of water sports, lunch cruises on the lake, a beach area, restaurants, hotels, campsites and bars at the side and of course lots of footpaths.

About half an hour away is the large town of St Brieuc with Cathedral and pedestrianised shopping area. Large market twice a week, music and other festivals are held during the year. The main hospitals are located here and railway station and a little airport. There is also a huge out of town shopping centre.

The coastline around St Brieuc has many safe sandy unspoilt beaches and coves, coastal footpaths show the walker the stunning views. The bay of St Brieuc and surrounding waters are famous for mussels and scallops which arrive in the shops, markets and restaurants very regularly.

Further up the coast are the resorts of Rosieres, Binic, Plouha and St Quay de
Portrieux all of which are very pretty and thriving with sandy beaches ideal for children. Going the other way from St Brieuc is the resort of Val Andre which also has a superb long sandy beach with wonderful old houses on the promenade behind which the usual seaside amenities are to be found.

There are two brilliant eighteen hole golf courses within easy reach - Lantic (Les Ajoncs d’Or) and Val Andre.
