The house sits between two villages, which are 2.5km in either direction. One is the community under which the house falls regarding the Mairie. Primaire and Collège in Luzy – 7kms, and the main Lycée (college) for the area is located in Autun - 27kms Equestrian All supplies can be found in Luzy – 7kms. The nearest vet is approximately 4kms from the house on the road to Luzy and clearly signposted. As all the surrounding area is rural there is a lot of focus on the welfare of livestock. Therefore, there are lots of horse riding clubs and there is a huge showjumping event held annually in Etang Sur Arroux, approximately 15kms from the house. There are numerous bridleways and logging paths through forests in the immediate surrounding area. There are very few cars on the network of minor roads. It is ideal for horse-riding. The land has three or four fresh water springs which fill two small lakes and then run down the valley into a larger stream. The smaller lake is circular and approximately 50m in circumference but quite shallow. The larger lake is approximately 200m in circumference and is considerably deeper. The water was tested to a standard suitable for swimming. Both lakes can be drained. The fish in the larger deeper lake are mainly Carp. There are no rights of way over the land, although hunters are legally allowed access during the hunting season (October) The nearest house is approximately 200 metres away.
