Situated in the heart of Normandy on the Calvados/Manche border and within easy reach of all the Normandy ferry ports, it is surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside that France has to offer. There are equestrian centres in Vire and feed suppliers in Vire and St Sever. Farriers and vets can all be found locally and the owner also knows of a travelling equine dentist. There are various competitions held in Calvados and throughout Normandy.

The owner rides and has friends with horses in the area. She says “It is an ideal property for horses as the field is fairly flat and has been well looked after. It would be easy to run electric fence around and put horses on quickly. It is close enough to the house to be able to keep a good eye on them too! There are several bridle paths/chemins just 4 or 5 mins ride from the property (no main roads to cross), which take you into the forest. There are many other chemins in the area so there is no real need to ride anywhere on the road for long. There are lots of great rides and lots of English and French horse owners here who get together to ride and help out with each others’ horses”.
