The nearest village to the property is under 3 km, but has only a mairie and a church.  The nearest town is Forges les Eaux, 11km. It is a popular tourist destination with lots of hotels, mairie, church, primary school, secondary school, college, swimming pool, casino, golf course, spa, mini golf, cafes, shops, restaurants, market day twice a week, indoor market, numerous banks, post office, hairdressers, beauticians, vets, dog groomer, agricultural auctioneer, country and farm stores, espace emeraude (large store for farming and equestrian supplies) four pharmacies, supermarkets, doctor, dentist, optician, florists, patisseries (lots), boulangeries, boucheries, station (trains to Rouen, also on the Paris line, very good connections).

The nearest city is Rouen, 45km, the capital of Normandy. Rouen’s famous Notre-Dame cathedral, erected in 1876, has the tallest spire in France. Rouen has botanical gardens and many museums, including a famous art museum. It is a beautiful city to visit with good parking, or easy route via train from Forges les Eaux.

Paris, 1 hour 30 minutes by car. Dieppe (Newhaven ferry), a popular seaside resort, 35 minutes by car. The nearest station is Forges Les Eaux and the nearest airports are Beauvais, Rouen or Paris.

There are many chateaux to visit in the area, the closest being at Bremontier Merval, 10 minutes by car. It is 30 minutes to the popular tourist destination of Lyon la Foret, a beautiful town with many cafes and antique shops and very popular with walkers. The property is within easy travelling distance of many other Normandy tourist attractions, such as Monet’s garden, Bayeaux tapestry, D-Day beaches etc. and only 1 hour 30 minutes to Deauville.

There are very good Primary and secondary schools at Forges les Eaux.

Equestrian
There is an equestrian centre in Forges les Eaux and many show centres in the department with lots of local competitions in all disciplines, and local racetracks. The feed supplier in Forges les Eaux, delivers to the property. Very good local farrier and vets, equine vet in Forges les Eaux, stud vet at Menerval (10 minutes) very good for AI and embryo transfer.
Directly from the stable yard there is a track which leads to outriding in the forest with excellent hacking! The beach for riding on is 45 minutes and near to Dieppe.
